TO BE OR NOT TO BE...... ?

..... That truly is the question. If asked today whether or not you are you a Christian, what would be your response, a proud yes, a shy slightly embarrassed yes, or a no. It would surprise you to find that many professing Christians when faced with that question may respond with all three responses, depending on where they find themselves. Why would a Christian be embarrassed to say he or she is one or even out rightly deny being either through his words or deeds? I believe the reason is because we as Christians have allowed the rest of the world to make us believe that we are somehow lacking that’s why we are Christians. We have accepted that Christians (serious Christianity not Sunday Christianity) are weird in a bad way and Christianity as a whole is against progress and seeks to return man to the dark ages. Hence we find ourselves in a dilemma: we enjoy the peace and security in God but at the same time we don’t want to be seen as weird or throwbacks to the dark ages ,party poopers, goody-goodies and so on, we want to be accepted and liked. It’s not wrong to desire acceptance, in fact it’s human nature to want to belong. The truth we must all remember is that we do belong, just not to the world anymore ( we are in the world but not of the world) we belong to God. In God’s eyes we are normal and wonderful not weird and it’s His opinion that we should be most concerned about.

We must never be ashamed of our heritage, we are followers of Christ, joint heirs to His kingdom, royalty and so much more . If Christ was not ashamed to numbered among us while we were yet sinners why should we be ashamed to be associated with Him. Remember His word says if you are ashamed of me before men , I will be ashamed of you before my father in Heaven, am certain no one of us want that. To be ashamed of Christ is as good as denying Him like Judas did. We often deceive ourselves that there is middle ground where we can comfortably stay in. The truth is that with God there is no middle ground, you are either in or out (rev.._). You can either be for Him or against Him. You are either saved or not. You are either a Christian or not. Make your decision and stick with it. If you choose Christ then stand by your decision do it all the way, all the time and in all circumstances. You are living a life that is pleasing unto God ( you should be)and those who ridicule you are not , so who should be ashamed ? certainly not you. You may be ridiculed( am 99% certain that you will),called names and so much more but those insults are badges of honour. Noah knew that God was going to destroy the earth with a flood, he didn’t pay attention what people must have said when he started building the ark, he just built and in the end he was saved. You too must be confident that you are headed the right way and not allow the words of those headed to destruction pull you from the right path. The bible says only a fool says in his heart that there is no God. How can you allow a fool make you feel inferior because you acknowledge God and His son and thus not a fool

I leave you with this question to be or not to be? As for me it’s to be

Signed .

Yours truly
